Overview
Join our dynamic outpatient mental health team as a Bilingual Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, culturally competent psychotherapy services to diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during emergencies.
- Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring accuracy in medical terminology and coding (CPT coding).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, including social work, special education, and medical professionals.
- Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to expand access to outpatient services while adhering to clinical best practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), psychologist or equivalent in your state.
- Proven experience working with children, families, individuals with disabilities, or in pediatric settings; hospital experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health interventions including motivational interviewing, crisis management, behavior management techniques, and addiction counseling.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation.
- Experience delivering services via telehealth platforms with excellent technological proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations while demonstrating cultural competence; bilingual fluency in English and another language is required.
