Position Overview
LVS Builders is seeking an experienced and driven Lead Carpenter to join our team in Bellefonte, PA. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing residential and commercial construction and remodeling projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations on construction and remodeling job sites
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate crew members to ensure efficient workflow
- Supervise and coordinate with subcontractors on projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Ensure all work is completed to code, on schedule and within budget
- Conduct site inspections and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Communicate project status, issues, and updates to management and clients
- Manage material ordering, deliveries, and on-site inventory
- Troubleshoot and resolve field challenges to keep projects on track
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs and progress reports
Requirements & Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in construction and remodeling (required)
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory role on construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Solid understanding of building codes, permits, and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
