About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and professional Denver Colorado LICENSED Armed Security Guard to provide weekend and weekday coverage. We have static post positions focused on maintaining safety, monitoring activity and patrol positions available.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises and maintain a secure environment
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns
- Interact respectfully with people
- Provide support in situations involving the unhoused population
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies
- Look for unauthorized personnel on property and remove
- Look for any maintenance issues
- Record videos of any interactions
- Use GPS tracking software while on duty to show accountability to our clients.
- Use your smart phone for clocking in/out, and for reports.
Requirements
- Valid, unexpired Denver Security Guard License (required). Must obtain an Unarmed and Armed Excise and License Guard Card through Denver’s Licensing Department prior to start date.
- Optional Requirement: Valid, unexpired Denver ARMED Security Guard License (required). Must have an Unarmed and Armed Excise and License Guard Card through Denver’s Licensing Department. Pay is higher if you are endorsed!
- Multiple Shifts available
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and reliability
- Must pass an FBI background check prior to employment and provide a pdf of the report. It is your license and your financial responsibility.
- 1 Year of of guard experience required.
- Must be 18+ to apply for the Unarmed Security Guard position
- Must be 21+ (due to the federal requirements of gun carry law, for an armed position).
- Salary is based on contract, and salary can range from $21-$22 per hour. Only currently licensed armed guards are qualified for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or de-escalating situations involving the unhoused population
- Current CPR certification
- Spanish-speaking ability a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $21-$22 hour for Unarmed Security Guard
- If you have an ARMED Endorsement starting pay is : $23 per hour
- Consistent schedule we have shifts covering all 7 days available
