Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Provide specialized care for residents with ADHD, Bipolar, I & II, implementing behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards
- Drive residents to appointments, school, or activities when required, ensuring safe transportation practices
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through social engagement, companionship, and respectful communication
Requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of ADL assistance techniques
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus
- Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate attitude toward residents’ needs
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; safe driving record required
