Machining Finish Team Lead
Purpose
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Team Lead to join our high-performing Machining Finish Department. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at organizing workflow, coordinating daily tasks, and keeping production moving efficiently toward daily build goals. You’ll support the team by helping prioritize work, track progress, and ensure cabinets are built accurately and on time.
This is not a supervisory role. You won’t handle personnel decisions or performance management. Your focus is coordinating work, supporting the team, and helping keep production running smoothly while maintaining the quality and efficiency standards our Machining Finish Department is known for.

What You’ll Do
Support the team in staying aligned with daily priorities and production goals.
Use the job management app to prioritize daily work and track production progress.
Coordinate workflow within the Machining Finish Department to keep production moving efficiently.
Support quality expectations by helping ensure work is completed correctly the first time.
Assist with training new hires and answer employee questions regarding quality or processes.
Work closely with the department supervisor to support daily operations and address issues as they arise.
Maintain your equipment and work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Track daily and weekly production progress and help identify potential delays.
Share ideas for improving processes and outcomes—we value team members who think critically and take ownership.

What You Bring
1 year of production or manufacturing experience preferred.
Previous experience coordinating workflow, assigning work, or supporting a production team preferred.
Experience working with CNC machines, edgebanders, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
Ability to organize workflow, track job orders, and support accurate completion of daily production tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report issues or concerns.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively support and train team members.
Capable of remaining calm and composed under pressure while adapting to changing production demands.
Working knowledge of computer systems and comfort using job management software and production schedules.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities while having a commitment to safety and quality.
Self-motivated, dependable, and willing to adapt in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds alone; lifts over 50 pounds require team assistance.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
