CareNationDC is seeking a reliable and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support the daily HR needs of our behavioral health agency. This position helps with hiring, onboarding, employee files, training tracking, compliance, and staff communication.
The HR Coordinator must be professional, confidential, detail-oriented, and able to work well with clinical, administrative, and support staff.
Assist with recruiting and hiring new employees.
Post job openings and help schedule interviews.
Collect and maintain employee documents.
Help onboard new staff members.
Track licenses, certifications, background checks, CPR/First Aid, trainings, and annual requirements.
Maintain organized employee files.
Support Paychex payroll and HR recordkeeping.
Help ensure staff follow CareNationDC policies and procedures.
Assist with employee attendance, timekeeping, and basic HR questions.
Support compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, DBH expectations, and company policies.
Help prepare HR documents for audits, surveys, and inspections.
Communicate professionally with staff and leadership.
Report HR concerns to management in a timely manner.
Experience in Human Resources, healthcare administration, office management, or a related role.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information properly.
Good computer skills and ability to use HR/payroll systems.
Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of healthcare or behavioral health settings is preferred.
Experience with Paychex is a plus.
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
