Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional laundry and cleaning services. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, uniforms, and other textiles for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in laundry operations, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Previous hotel or hospitality experience is a plus. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines efficiently and safely
- Sort, fold, and organize linens, uniforms, and other textiles according to established standards
- Perform dry cleaning tasks when necessary, ensuring proper handling of delicate items
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including cleaning machines and workspaces regularly
- Follow safety procedures and proper handling protocols for chemicals and cleaning agents
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of stock levels
- Ensure timely completion of laundry tasks to meet operational deadlines
- Adhere to hygiene standards and quality control measures to ensure high customer satisfaction
Experience
- Prior experience with laundry operations or cleaning services preferred
- Hotel or hospitality industry experience is advantageous but not required
- Knowledge of laundry techniques including dry cleaning is a plus
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Pay: $15.60 - $17.25 per hour
