Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Housing Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling tenant rights, habitability, and other housing-related matters. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in civil litigation.
Responsibilities
Draft and file pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
Manage housing litigation cases from intake through resolution.
Conduct legal research related to landlord-tenant and housing laws.
Maintain case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars.
Communicate with clients and gather supporting documentation.
Review, organize, and summarize records and evidence.
Assist with trial, mediation, and deposition preparation.
Qualifications
2+ years of paralegal experience in housing law, landlord-tenant law, or civil litigation, helpful but not required.
Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures.
Experience with legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational, communication, and legal writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
