Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and disinfecting surfaces across all designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve flooring quality and appearance
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment for large-scale or high-traffic areas
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities maintenance
- Follow safety protocols and use proper cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Support additional janitorial functions during special events or projects as needed
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
