Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns with precision and attention to detail (1040, 1120, 1120‑S, 1065).
- Provide expert guidance on tax compliance, tax law updates, and regulatory requirements across various client scenarios.
- Represent clients before the IRS within EA authorization (audits, collections, letters).
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding tax matters.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Perform account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist clients with estate planning strategies, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations to optimize their financial legacy.
- Support audits by preparing documentation, conducting internal reviews, and ensuring adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with clients on mergers & acquisitions, financial planning, asset management, and investment analysis to support their growth objectives.
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding tax reporting deadlines, regulatory changes, and financial advice to foster trust and satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with the office team to improve processes and client experience.
Skills
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) license.
- Extensive knowledge of tax law, tax reporting requirements, and tax compliance procedures for various entities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), regulatory compliance accounting, and technical accounting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial management.
- Experience with estate planning tools including wills, trusts & estate law; familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in auditing processes, regulatory reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
- Effective client communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and build lasting relationships.
- Background in public accounting or private sector finance with expertise in corporate tax strategies and individual tax preparation.
- Knowledge of securities law related to investment activities; experience in mergers & acquisitions is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Excellent communication and client‑service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Professional, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year
