Duties
- Assist with the processing and management of accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
- Support data entry tasks including invoice creation, payment posting, and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Help analyze accounts receivable aging reports and identify overdue accounts for follow-up
- Collaborate with team members on account analysis and journal entries related to revenue cycle management
- Participate in customer service activities by communicating with clients regarding billing inquiries or payment issues
- Aid in maintaining compliance with financial policies including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Contribute to month-end closing procedures by assisting with account reconciliation and financial data analysis using Excel formulas and data analysis tools
Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; recent graduates are welcome to apply
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with financial software like QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft or similar platforms is preferred
- Strong Excel skills including data analysis, formulas, and basic functions; experience with Excel data analysis is a plus
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes, medical billing terminology (if applicable), or governmental accounting is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills and professional phone etiquette for interacting with clients or team members
