Experienced Medical Biller (Remote)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our growing team in a fully remote position. Therapyland is one of the Largest and most advanced ALL-Inclusivie-Pediatric Therapy Centers in Georgia. We offer ABA serivces for children with Autism, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Feeding Therapy, Physical Therapy. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the medical billing and revenue cycle process, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.If you are passionate about helping healthcare practices succeed through accurate billing and exceptional follow-through, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities
- Submit and track insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Review patient demographics, insurance information, and documentation before claim submission.
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Post Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and insurance payments.
- Process patient statements and assist with collections as needed.
- Communicate professionally with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the billing system and EMR/EHR.
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and industry billing standards.
- Stay current with coding updates, payer policies, and billing regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience required.
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and medical billing practices.
- Experience with insurance claims submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, and denial management.
- Experience billing ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech Therapy (ST) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial insurance, Medicaid, and managed care plans.
- Experience with Qualifacts/Insync is a plus.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a remote work environment.
