Responsibilities
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safety during therapy sessions
- Educate clients on self-care practices, injury prevention, and wellness strategies aligned with their health goals
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care and pain management strategies
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and occupational health guidelines
- Stay current with industry best practices, new massage techniques, and relevant medical terminology through ongoing education
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification to practice legally
- Proven experience in massage therapy, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and how they relate to pain management and injury recovery
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop personalized treatment plans
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and healthcare settings
- CPR certification is required to ensure client safety during treatments
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that fosters client trust and satisfaction
- Prior experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is preferred but not mandatory
