Job Summary
Action Courier Services, Inc. is a 46-year-old air freight pick-up and delivery company based in Kent, WA. We are actively interviewing for a full time Logistics Coordinator with a general work schedule of M-F 11:00-8:00PM with rotating on-call duties over the weekend required (about once every 4-5 weeks). Applicants must be motivated, professional, able to work well with others and multi-task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Communications and flexibility are vital to the success of the company and is expected from all.
Job duties include sharing responsibilities of overseeing upwards of 20+/- drivers and their individual progress, ensuring detailed communication between driver and customer. Verifying the paperwork turned in from drivers meet company standards and that all equipment, keys and time sheets are turned in at the end of their shift. Answering phones, identifying and labeling freight, maintaining a clean and neat work area and keeping detailed organize notes on shipments.

Responsibilities and Duties
Job Duties will include but not limited to:
Scheduling and routing of deliveries and pickups to ensure on-time, safe transportation
Calling/e-mailing customers with updates and status of their shipments
Communicating and resolving issues while maintaining accurate records and detailed notations of interactions with both customer and drivers performing service
Preparing documentation for airlines and trucking companies
Answering phones, communicating instructions between customer and drivers
Supervising and inspecting freight packaging for shipping.
Updating customers via phone or E-mail as to status of shipment
Help maintain cleanliness of facility.
Respond to customer requests on an On-Call basis.
Ensuring facility and vehicles are locked down every night.
Qualifications and Skills
Job Requirements:
Must have great customer service skills and be a genuine assistance to all.
Display communication skills through phone and e-mail.
Must be highly dependable and detail oriented with ability to manage many tasks
Familiarity with cities, roads, traffic flow, mileage, and estimated trip times; past delivery experience preferred
Must be drug free and be able to pass drug test and background check.
Ability to take instruction well and show flexibility in a fast-paced changing environment
Qualified candidates will be a team player with a minimum of two years applied work experience in the transportation industry with proven success as a supervisor.
Must speak clear English be eligible to work in the United States.
Strong leadership skills required to motivate employees to accomplish their assigned duties

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
