Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all designated areas, including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces, following established protocols.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to ensure effective sanitation while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Conduct routine floor care procedures such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces.
- Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and supply inventories for accountability and quality assurance.
- Respond promptly to special cleaning requests or spillages to uphold cleanliness standards at all times.
- Support infection control initiatives by following hospital or facility-specific sanitation procedures.
Requirements
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial cleaning or healthcare settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
- Experience with floor care techniques such as stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and sanitation practices.
