Job Summary
White Bottle is seeking an execution-driven Sanitation Supervisor to lead our sanitation management team in Stanton, CA. You will be responsible for maintaining a world-class Food Safety environment in a fast-paced food manufacturing facility, overseeing the cleanliness of processing equipment, and ensuring strict Quality Assurance standards. This role focuses on the development and implementation of sanitation protocols, pest control, and employee safety to guarantee full FDA and GMP Compliance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and track quantifiable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for room and equipment sanitation, measuring team success through first-pass micro-swab pass rates, ATP swab scores, and pre-operational inspection turnaround times.
- Develop, continuously improve, and enforce facility sanitation, Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS), and Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP) to ensure perpetual audit readiness.
- Partner with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) teams to align on sanitation clearance schedules, investigate out-of-spec micro results, and execute rapid Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
- Oversee the safe storage, dilution, handling, and rotation of cleaning chemicals, manage sanitation supply inventories, and act as the primary liaison for facility pest control programs.
- Recruit, interview, and evaluate sanitation personnel; design and deliver robust training and refresher workshops covering cGMPs, chemical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain rigorous, real-time sanitation and safety logs, ensuring all paperwork meets the strict data integrity standards required for FDA, SQF, OSHA, and customer audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), backed by 3+ years of supervisory experience and 3+ years of direct sanitation experience in food manufacturing or nutraceuticals.
- Extensive knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and agency standards (FDA, SQF, OSHA), alongside a deep understanding of GMPs, HACCP, Preventive Controls (PC), and Environmental Monitoring Programs (EMP).
- Detailed working knowledge of facility sanitation protocols, safe handling practices, and the precise application of industrial cleaning chemicals.
- Advanced managerial skills with a proven ability to design and implement effective employee training programs, drive accountability, and maintain a punctual, highly dependable team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace, with the ability to build clear spreadsheet models, track data, and prepare reports or slide presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, capable of translating complex policies, rules, and abstract instructions (furnished in written, oral, or diagram form) into clear, actionable floor execution.
- Uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to perform essential duties expeditiously while strictly understanding and enforcing all company safety and quality policies.
Language
- Strong English reading and writing proficiency required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- The role is primarily performed on the production floor
- Requires standing for long periods of time and walking to other production buildings as needed.
- Must be able to safely walk up and down stairs without assistance.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs unaided and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Frequently exposed to varying extreme conditions and loud noise levels.
- Required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for various environments
- Regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, and phones
