Home 2 is looking for a qualified Laundry Utility Attendant who will ensure proper washing, drying, and storage of laundry to keep linens and clothing up to Hilton's high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
The Laundry Utility Attendant will:
- Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
- Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full and report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor.
- Collect dirty linen from housekeeping carts and/or stripped rooms.
- Pre-sort and separate linen by classification and transfer by lifting, carrying, or transporting to work stations.
- Run folding equipment to fold mats, blankets, towels, bedspreads, etc.
- Separate out laundry requiring mending or special stain removal.
- Clean empty hampers.
- Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
- Clean up machines and surrounding areas.
- Stock linen storage rooms with the cleaned products and/or deliver directly to housekeeping carts.
- Collect bags of trash in corridors and dispose in dumpsters throughout the day.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage closets.
Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
