Position Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and a key member of the People team, partnering across the organization to deliver people strategies that support business objectives.
This role provides leadership across Employee Relations, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compliance, Performance Management and organizational initiatives, ensuring consistent execution of HR programs while fostering a positive, high-performing workplace.
Success in this position requires strong business acumen, sound judgment, emotional intelligence and the ability to build trusted relationships at every level of the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals and drive business performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness and leadership development.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations and ensure compliance with Puerto Rico employment laws and company policies.
- Oversee key HR functions, including HR Operations, Talent Acquisition and core people processes, ensuring operational excellence and a consistent employee experience.
- Coach and support leaders through talent management, performance conversations, succession planning and organizational change.
- Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to provide data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen HR processes, compliance and employee engagement.
- Champion Medplus' culture and values while fostering a high-performing, collaborative and accountable work environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to execute strategic HR initiatives that support organizational growth.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in strategic HR roles.
- Demonstrated success in Employee Relations, HR Operations and HR Compliance.
- Proven experience partnering with business leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational development and talent initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience leading or mentoring HR professionals.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and Bizneo HRIS is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Experience using Canva to create engaging internal communications, presentations and HR-related content.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini or similar platforms to improve productivity, data analysis, content development and process optimization.
- Comfortable learning and adopting emerging HR technologies and digital solutions.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA Business Administration or Human Resources completed.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR certification.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-country organizations.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and HR analytics.
