Lot Attendant/Shop Helper
Location: Mansfield, Ohio
JOB SUMMARY
The Lot Attendant/Shop Helper is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing assets throughout the lot and ensuring a safe and clean environment. They ensure proper procedures are followed to get the appropriate asset where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. This individual organizes the lot and reports to corporate on the status of assets under his/her control.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Tracks daily shipping and receiving of all equipment in designated market.
- Checks equipment in and out of inventory utilizing Q-Link.
- Shares responsibility for loading and unloading equipment for internal and external trucking/truckdrivers.
- Returns equipment to designated areas based on which department the unit belongs to, i.e., service equipment returned to service, rental units to rental, EM4 units to EM4, etc.
- Stages equipment in EM4 shop/yard for delivery or pick up as requested by management.
- Clean and detail machinery post-service to ensure all equipment meets company standards for presentation and readiness after technician work is completed.
- Assist technicians with operational tasks as needed to support workflow efficiency and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Provide backup support for parts delivery, ensuring timely and accurate transportation of parts when the primary driver is unavailable.
- Maintains the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion, utilizing 5S when applicable.
- Organizes all bills of lading (for the market) and distributes hard copies to necessary parties.
- Ensures that any unsafe equipment is properly tagged out and that management is notified immediately.
- Ensures all equipment locations are accurate in Q-Link, correcting if necessary.
- Immediately identifies and reports any damaged assets (departing or arriving).
- Operates company equipment in a safe and respectful manner.
- Leads by example in promoting a safe workplace. Follows EM4's core safety values and ensures basic safety standards are adhered to including SDS, PPE, JSAs, hot work permits, and customer safety rules.
- Reports any safety violations or incidents to management immediately.
- Responsible for transporting equipment throughout the warehouse and property as needed.
- Performs general cleaning and custodial duties as needed.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature as required.
- Is reliable and punctual in reporting for work as scheduled.
- Maintains professionalism on the job at all times.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- Two or more years of experience in material handling or automotive industry preferred.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Availability to work after hours and on Saturdays when needed.
- Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills.
