Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to work with our school-age children. Part of this responsibility will be to utilize our 14 passenger mini-bus to help transport the children from their local elementary schools back to our program for after school care. This could be a part-time or full-time role. We are open M-F, no nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Duties:
- Safely operate a 14 passenger mini-school bus following a set route and schedule
- Ensure the bus is in good working condition by conducting pre-trip inspections
- Maintain order and discipline among students during transport
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Serve as a co-teacher in our After School program, supervising the children, serving a PM snack, and homework assistance if needed.
Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21+ to apply
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage student behavior effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols for transporting passengers, especially children
- Training will be provided; prior experience not necessary to apply
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in childcare or daycare settings
- Understanding of childhood development and behavior management
- First aid certification and CPR training
- Background in early childhood education or tutoring
- Ability to handle classroom management situations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
