In this role, you’ll focus on evaluation and supervision rather than delivering therapy. Lead the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), complete thorough speech-language assessments, and facilitate ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, helping craft effective individualized education plans.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Texas (SLP-CCC required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech-language evaluation processes
- Comfortable supervising SLPAs and overseeing their work
- Skilled in collaborating with education teams and participating in ARD meetings
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to ensure best practices and compliance
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments in accordance with school district policies
- Facilitate and participate in ARD meetings as a dedicated team resource
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for student progress and assessments
- Collaborate with faculty, families, and other professionals to optimize student support
