Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications, ensuring high-quality results.
- Apply advanced techniques such as nail art based on color theory principles to create personalized designs that delight clients.
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide recommendations, and ensure a satisfying experience.
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines and product usage to promote healthy nails and ongoing maintenance.
- Upsell retail products such as nail polishes, skincare items, or tools to enhance client satisfaction and salon sales.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and compliant with all health regulations while managing appointment schedules efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Nail Technician or Cosmetologist with a strong portfolio of nail services performed.
- Knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, acrylic application, gel manicures, and advanced nail art techniques.
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation practices and disinfection procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
- Ability to perform detailed work such as nail care, body waxing, eyelash extensions, dermabrasion treatments, or hair styling is a plus.
- Strong retail sales skills combined with retail math knowledge to upsell products effectively.
- Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Technology from an accredited program is required; additional skills in esthetic laser treatment or hair threading are advantageous.
