This is more than an assistant position. It is a structured, hands-on professional development program designed to build technical skills, confidence, communication, professionalism, and the foundation necessary to develop a successful career in the beauty industry.

As a YK Salon Assistant, you will work alongside experienced professionals in a luxury salon environment, gaining daily exposure to professional techniques, salon standards, guest service, and the business of beauty.
Our goal is to help each assistant identify their strengths, develop their technical abilities, and create a clear pathway toward becoming a confident and successful stylist.
What You’ll Do
Assist stylists with daily salon services and operations.
Prepare guests and workstations before services.
Provide professional shampooing and conditioning services.
Assist with blow-drying, styling, treatments, color preparation, and other services as permitted by licensing requirements.
Support stylists in delivering efficient, polished, and exceptional guest experiences.
Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and professional salon environment.
Prepare and maintain tools, products, towels, and workstations.
Observe and learn professional consultation, service, and communication techniques.
Follow YK Salon’s technical, sanitation, safety, and service standards.
Participate actively in education, coaching, demonstrations, and hands-on training.
Demonstrate professionalism, punctuality, accountability, and a willingness to learn.
