Summary:
The Service Technician is responsible for providing superior repair services while providing the highest level of customer experience. In this role, he/she repairs, services, and delivers custom wheelchairs in accordance with NPL and manufacturer’s specifications. This position will travel to customers within the Cincinnati and surrounding areas, working primarily out of than work out of our Huber Height facility. All tools and equipment, company vehicle, and training are provided.
Main responsibilities:
- Travels to customers to test, diagnose, and service client-owned custom manual and power wheelchairs in the field, mainly in long term care facilities & patient homes.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate logs of service using our Field Service Management software.
- Conducts themselves in a professional manner.
- Repairs equipment following the company’s standards of quality and productivity.
- Performs minor fitting and adjustments of equipment.
- Maintains Service vehicle in clean, safe operating condition, completing vehicle checklist as required.
- Meets all productivity and performance standards.
- Rehabilitates equipment as necessary, both in the field and at the shop.
- Follows all safety procedures as required.
- Consistently delivers incredible customer service experiences by offering knowledge, advice, and answering questions and concerns.
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in the support of, repair of, or assembly of mechanical or electromechanical products desired
- Effective ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous patient care, home healthcare, rehabilitation, long-term care, or durable medical equipment (DME).
- Tech-savvy, mechanical aptitude, resourceful.
- Associate degree in a healthcare, biomedical, technical, or related field.
- Ability to think and learn quickly.
Working Conditions:
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach daily for long periods
- Able to walk an extensive amount of hours
- Able to lift to 75 pounds occasionally
- Regular and on-time attendance
- Frequent travel throughout the assigned service territory, with the ability to drive for extended periods each day
