We are partnering with an established engineering consulting firm in Minneapolis looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to its growing team.
The position will focus heavily on the design of HVAC and mechanical building systems, with the opportunity to contribute to technically challenging projects across healthcare, commercial, education, transportation, hospitality, technology, and mission-critical/data center environments.
The firm offers a collaborative environment where engineers can take ownership of projects, work directly with clients and other disciplines, and continue progressing technically and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and mechanical systems for new construction and renovation projects
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Complete equipment selection, sizing, and system layouts
- Develop mechanical construction documents using Revit
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, architectural, and other project disciplines
- Assist with specifications and technical documentation
- Participate in client and project coordination meetings
- Support projects throughout design and construction
- Perform site surveys and field observations when required
- Take increasing ownership of projects as experience develops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of mechanical/HVAC building systems design experience
- Previous experience within an MEP consulting or building systems environment
- Working knowledge of HVAC design, equipment selection, and load calculations
- Revit experience
- PE preferred or EIT actively progressing toward PE licensure
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills
- Healthcare project experience is highly desirable
Compensation & Benefits
$90,000–$125,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications.
