Moving Team Leader / Driver
Pay: $18–$20 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday with weekend availability
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Moving Team Leader / Driver to help us grow our moving operation in the North Charlotte area.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who already understands the moving business. You’ll be responsible for helping prepare trucks and crews, leading jobs in the field, communicating with customers, completing paperwork, and making sure every move is handled professionally from start to finish.
Prior professional moving-company experience as a Driver, Lead Mover, Crew Leader, or similar role is required.
We’re looking for someone dependable who can take ownership of a job, solve problems in the field, lead a crew, and represent our company well in front of customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead moving crews on residential and commercial jobs
- Drive and manage rental moving trucks
- Inspect trucks before jobs and ensure they are ready for daily operations
- Train and coach movers on proper moving, loading, wrapping, and customer-service standards
- Complete Bills of Lading (BOLs) and required job paperwork accurately
- Communicate with customers before and during moves
- Help resolve basic customer concerns professionally
- Coordinate with our phone representative to ensure jobs are properly booked, staffed, and prepared
- Assist with in-person estimates for larger moves when needed
- Recommend and sell appropriate packing and moving materials
- Track important job details and report results back to management
- Maintain inventory of moving supplies, including shrink wrap, tape, mattress bags, and other materials
- Protect customers' furniture, homes, and property throughout the move
- Help load, unload, wrap, and move furniture when needed
- Maintain a professional, 5-star customer experience
Requirements
You must have prior experience working for a professional moving company as a Driver, Lead Mover, Crew Leader, or similar position.
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Willing and able to obtain a DOT Medical Card if required for driving duties
- Physically capable of assisting with moves, lifting furniture, and working on your feet
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Comfortable leading and holding a moving crew accountable
- Able to work independently and make good decisions in the field
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to handle changing schedules and solve problems without constant supervision
- Monday–Friday availability with flexibility to work weekends when needed

Compensation
- $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience

Work Environment
This is a field-based position and cannot be performed remotely. Applicants must have reliable transportation to get to work and job locations as required.
