Part-Time Logistics Associate / Coordinator
Schedule: Part-time, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Part-Time Logistics Associate / Coordinator to support our shipping operations. This position is responsible for processing parcel and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments, preparing accurate shipping documentation, coordinating carrier pickups, and helping ensure customer orders are shipped safely and on time.
The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a shipping department, understands parcel and LTL shipping requirements, and is comfortable balancing hands-on shipping tasks with administrative coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Process domestic parcel and LTL shipments accurately and efficiently via FAB Shipping – our shipping dashboard, and Freightview TMS.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and other required documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
- Compare shipping options and select carriers based on service requirements, cost, and delivery timing.
- Use FAB Shipping, Freightview, carrier websites, transportation portals, and shipping software to create and track shipments.
- Verify orders, quantities, addresses, packaging, weights, dimensions, and freight classifications before shipment.
- Package, palletize, label, and stage orders according to carrier and customer requirements.
- Track shipments and communicate delays, damages, shortages, or delivery issues to the appropriate team members.
- Obtain and maintain shipment records, tracking information, proof of delivery, and related documentation.
- Assist with freight claims and shipment discrepancies.
- Work closely with warehouse, customer service, purchasing, and operations personnel.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area.
- Follow company procedures and applicable safety and transportation requirements.
- Assist with any other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, warehouse, or distribution department required.
- Hands-on experience processing both parcel and LTL shipments required.
- Familiarity with parcel carriers such as UPS and FedEx and with regional or national LTL carriers.
- Working knowledge of bills of lading, freight classes, pallet dimensions, shipment weights, and carrier documentation.
- Experience using shipping software, carrier portals, ERP systems, warehouse management systems, or similar technology.
- Basic proficiency with email and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and meet daily pickup deadlines.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work independently during the scheduled morning shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform shipping or warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely use pallet jacks and other standard shipping equipment; forklift experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with freight quoting, NMFC classifications, and accessorial charges.
- Experience investigating freight claims, shortages, or damaged shipments.
