Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician or Electrician's Helper to join our dynamic electrical team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical installations meet all safety standards and code requirements, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of our clients' facilities. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work on diverse projects, from blueprint interpretation to conduit bending and wiring, all while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system installations.
- Perform conduit bending, electrical wiring, and electrical systems installation on construction sites or existing facilities.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues and verify system integrity.
- Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Assist with low voltage wiring projects and high voltage system setups as required by project specifications.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate electrical components seamlessly into building frameworks, including frame carpentry when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NFPA 70 compliance and NEC standards.
- Skilled in conduit bending, electrical wiring, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and the use of testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety protocol adherence and construction experience.
- Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and construction equipment relevant to electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 regulations for safe installation practices.
