Job Summary
The CRNA is a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse responsible and accountable for their own professional practice, exercising independent judgment within scope of practice across pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessment, planning, and informed consent verification for each case
- Provide and monitor anesthesia care intra-operatively, consistent with ASA standards
- Manage post-anesthesia recovery, including PACU assessment and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation throughout all phases of anesthesia care
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment per FDA and facility guidelines
- Respond to emergencies and codes with composure and sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate with surgical and facility teams, and manage practice per AANA standards
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Current CRNA certification (or recertification)
- Current North Dakota RN licensure
- Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer
