Mold Superintendent
Position Title: Mold Department Supervisor - Foundry
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and driven leader to oversee molding operations in our foundry production facility. This role is responsible for ensuring molds are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Mold Department Supervisor will guide a union workforce, manage daily production schedules, and drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all molding activities during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with safety policies and production targets.
- Organize and monitor daily and weekly production schedules, aligning staffing and resources to meet operational goals.
- Identify and resolve quality or efficiency issues promptly, coordinating with the Foundry Manager to minimize downtime.
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members to maintain high skill levels and support career development.
- Lead safety and quality audits, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and management to apply the union contract consistently and maintain positive labor relations.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through initiatives such as Kaizen and Lean practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; technical degree or professional certification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in molding or heavy industrial manufacturing. DISA/Disamatic Machine experiance mandatory
- Experience working in a unionized environment preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and process improvement.

Experience:
- Iron Molding: 3 years (Preferred)
- Heavy Industrial Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
- Supervising: 5 years (Preferred)
- High-volume Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
