We are seeking an experienced cook to help prepare high-quality hot foods for our food counter and catering orders. Experience in Cuban cooking is preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
- Plan daily menus, in coordination with other cooks.
- Prepare and cook menu items including breakfast and lunch/dinner offerings.
- Support special promotions or seasonal menus as needed.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food availability.
- Properly clean and sanitize cooking tools, utensils, and equipment.
- Following proper food handling procedures and ensuring that all food items meet food safety and quality standards.
- Inspect hot food items to ensure that established standards on safety, quality, uniformity, and aesthetic appeal are met.
- Greet customers, answer questions, make recommendations, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Spanish fluency is not necessary, but would be an asset
- Good organizational skills
- Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend and holiday availability
- Ability to work in a hot and hectic environment
Work involves walking, standing, lifting and carrying products weighing up to 50 pounds, eye-hand coordination, and interaction with customers and fellow employees.
