Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A or B trucks, including tractor-trailers or dump trucks in local designated routes where you are home every night.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your vehicle to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Follow designated local routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including bills of lading, delivery logs, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or any incidents encountered on the road.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the vehicle and ensure compliance with all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving operations involving tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty application
- Knowledge of manual transmission operation is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
