Job Purpose
The Sales & Service Lead (SSL) is responsible for leading the Brow & Beauty Expert (BBE) team on a day-to-day basis, driving sales performance, client satisfaction, maintaining a well-organized environment, and fostering a cohesive team dynamic. The Sales & Service Lead contributes to the development of the brand's image and reputation within their store and ensures delivery of exceptional client and employee experiences while maximizing business performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Collaborate closely with direct supervisor in leading and motivating a high-performing team to deliver exceptional employee experiences and enhance brand loyalty and reputation.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to support team members' growth, success, and overall well-being, while inspiring local teams to achieve excellence and embody Benefit values.
- Promote accountability, performance culture, and continuous learning within teams.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement while encouraging diversity and inclusivity within the team.
- Communicate closely with appropriate Benefit partners on all issues, concerns, and opportunities.
- Sales and Service Excellence
- Perform Benefit services, including waxing, tinting, laminations, and all other services offered on Benefit's service menu; ensure all services are performed in compliance with all Benefit standards and techniques, as well as State Board guidelines, including hygiene, consultations, aftercare, etc.
- Actively promote and sell Benefit's products by demonstrating expertise in their use, application, and benefits, making personalized recommendations.
- Facilitate smooth and accurate client transactions, ensuring seamless checkout experience, returns and exchanges, and application of various discounts, promotions, and rewards as applicable.
- Collaborate with BBEs to resolve any product or service-related concerns and ensure client satisfaction.
- Ensure that the highest level of client experience is consistently provided, creating a memorable and personalized experience for every client.
- Business Development
- Work with direct supervisor to implement store-specific strategies aligned with overarching business objectives.
- Achieve retail sales, service, and budget goals within the assigned store.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring maximized efficiency and profitability.
- Support the enforcement of all Benefit Cosmetics and Account policies and procedures to maintain a consistent brand experience across all locations.
- Ensure the boutique is well-maintained, clean, and organized to create an inviting and visually appealing environment for clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact and assume responsibility for store operations in the absence of direct supervisor, ensuring continuity and seamless management.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Ability to test and apply products to skin.
- Physical capability for tasks that may involve lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
- Continuous standing/walking for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Continuous bending of neck, arms, torso, and legs for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Work in a fragrance-filled environment.
- Physical contact with clients/customers.
- Able to use a computer for prolonged periods (6-8 hours/day).
- Occasional travel as needed to attend meetings or trainings.
Requirements
- Must maintain compliance with state board regulations at all times.
- Must maintain and display a valid state-issued aesthetician or cosmetologist license for the work state. The employee is responsible for any fees, additional training, and/or renewals needed as a requirement.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in the cosmetics or aesthetics industry.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and influence others, with interpersonal savviness.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and service goals.
- Must have proof of insurance, a current and valid driver's license, and a reliable means of transportation.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully complete the E-Verify process.
- Flexibility regarding work hours; ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays, as needed to meet the needs and requirements of the store.

The target salary range for this position is $22.00 - $26.50 per hour. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn a sales incentive bonus and/or commission.
