Bricks, Bots & Beakers is a hands‑on, high‑energy STEM enrichment program for children ages 5–12. We deliver fun, engaging after‑school classes that spark curiosity and help kids fall in love with science, engineering, and creative problem‑solving.
We are hiring STEM Teachers and STEM Aides for our Fall after‑school programs beginning in September. If you are positive, reliable, and love working with kids, we’d love to meet you.
What We’re Looking For
We need flexible, high‑energy team members who can create a welcoming, fun, and safe learning environment. You’ll lead or support hands‑on STEM lessons using our curriculum and materials.
Teacher Responsibilities
- Prepare for each class session; gather and organize materials
- Greet students and build a positive, engaging learning environment
- Teach STEM lessons following our curriculum and activity guides
- Manage student behavior, transitions, and pacing to keep sessions fun and productive
- Use praise, encouragement, and clear communication to keep students motivated
- Explain STEM concepts in age‑appropriate, accessible ways
- Communicate professionally with school staff and parents when needed
Aide Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with setup, cleanup, and materials
- Support students during hands‑on activities
- Help maintain a safe, positive classroom environment
- Reinforce instructions and help students stay on task
- Provide extra support to younger or struggling students
- Step in to help with classroom management as needed
Requirements
- Enjoy working with children ages 5–12
- Reliable transportation to Plano, Frisco, or Allen schools
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and professionalism
- Ability to lift and carry class materials (light bins)
- Must pass a background check
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Experience:
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
