Our Commercial Services Division supports existing clients through ongoing maintenance, service work, preventative maintenance, and light repairs. As client demand continues to expand, this division has become an increasingly important part of our business.
The Role
We are hiring a Commercial Service Technician to support our growing commercial services operation. This position involves on-site troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and light construction across a variety of commercial facilities.
This role is well suited for a technician who values autonomy, takes ownership of their work, and is interested in growing into a leadership role over time.
What You’ll Do
- Perform general commercial maintenance and service repairs
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and finish issues
- Service restaurants, offices, and retail facilities
- Complete preventative maintenance and punch-list work
- Communicate clearly with the Service Manager and document work
- Represent GCM Construction professionally on job sites

The Commercial Services Division continues to expand, and we are intentionally building a strong, capable team to support that growth. This position offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibility over time, including mentoring other technicians, helping improve service processes, and potentially stepping into a lead or supervisory role as the department develops.
We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term role within a growing operation, not just fill a position.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in commercial maintenance, construction, or service trades
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable using mobile technology for communication and documentation
Preferred (not required):
- HVAC or refrigeration experience
- Restaurant or facility equipment service
- Light electrical or plumbing background
- Finish carpentry experience
Pay & Benefits
