Substance Use Disorder Professional-Jail Based Reentry Initiative
Position Summary
The Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) is responsible for providing comprehensive Substance Use Disorder (SUD) evaluations, treatment planning, and reentry support services to incarcerated individuals within the Okanogan County Jail. This position operates under the Medicaid Transformation Project (MTP 2.0) Reentry Demonstration Initiative and collaborates with jail staff, case managers, and community partners to support individuals within 90 days of release. The SUDP ensures continuity of care, promotes recovery, and supports the reduction of recidivism through evidence-based practices and coordination with Apple Health (Medicaid) providers and reentry case management teams.
This is a full time benefited non bargaining position with full benefits including: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, retirement options, 13 paid holidays, sick and annual leave accruals. Salary is $4514-$5487 per month DOE.

Minimum Qualifications: • Current Washington State Department of Health (DOH) certification or license as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP). • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for substance use and co-occurring disorders. • Experience with criminal justice or correctional populations preferred. • Familiarity with Apple Health (Medicaid) provider enrollment and billing practices or willingness to complete training. • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and recovery- oriented systems of care. • Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams. • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and HIPAA compliance. • Ability to work with limited supervision in a secure facility environment.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Reentry Targeted Case Management (rTCM), MOUD programs, or other HCA-aligned reentry services. • Knowledge of the Medicaid Inmate Exclusion Rule and CAA (Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023) benefits for pre/post-adjudication clients. • Familiarity with ProviderOne enrollment, HCA billing codes, and reentry service delivery requirements. • Background in rural behavioral health systems and coordination with community-based agencies.
