The Quality Control Analyst I is an entry‑level support role responsible for performing routine quality control activities to verify that products, materials, or processes meet defined specifications and standards. This role focuses on inspection support, data collection, documentation, and reporting, ensuring that quality issues are identified and escalated appropriately.
Role Overview
The Quality Control Analyst I supports Quality and Operations teams by executing defined quality control tasks, including inspections, measurements, testing support, and data entry. The role is developmental and builds foundational knowledge of quality standards, inspection techniques, and operational quality processes.
This position typically reports to a Quality Supervisor, Quality Control Lead, Quality Engineer, or Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection Support
Perform routine inspections of incoming, in‑process, or finished products
Verify materials or products against specifications, drawings, or acceptance criteria
Use basic inspection tools and equipment as trained
Data Collection & Quality Records
Collect, record, and enter quality data accurately into tracking systems
Maintain inspection logs, checklists, and quality records
Ensure records are complete, legible, and audit‑ready
Nonconformance Identification & Escalation
Identify and document defects or deviations from specifications
Escalate nonconformances to Quality or Operations leadership as directed
Assist with segregation and identification of nonconforming material
Testing & Measurement Support
Support basic testing or measurement activities
Verify calibration status of inspection equipment before use
Follow standard test methods and work instructions
Process Monitoring & Observation
Monitor basic process parameters or inspection checkpoints
Alert supervisors to trends, recurring defects, or abnormal conditions
Support visual management and quality control points
Compliance & Procedure Adherence
Follow established quality control procedures and work instructions
Comply with safety, housekeeping, and data‑integrity requirements
Support compliance with applicable quality standards
Cross‑Functional Support
Work with Manufacturing, Receiving, and Quality teams to support daily operations
Respond to routine inquiries regarding inspection status or results
Assist with quality containment or re‑inspection activities as needed
Learning & Development
Learn quality control methods, terminology, and inspection techniques
Build familiarity with product specifications and quality criteria
Participate in training and on‑the‑job development opportunities
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Coursework or certificate in quality, manufacturing, or technical operations preferred
Entry‑level role; typically 0–1 years of experience in manufacturing, inspection, quality control, or operations support roles
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to follow defined procedures and instructions
Basic math, measurement, and data‑entry skills
Ability to read simple drawings, specifications, or checklists
Basic computer proficiency (data entry, spreadsheets, reporting tools)
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Dependability, professionalism, and willingness to learn

Pay: $22.80 - $25.00 per hour
