Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Physical Therapy in an outpatient clinic environment. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, manual therapy, clinical exercise and performance training as well as effective therapeutic techniques to enhance patient recovery and well-being. Must be comfortable working with high level athletes, performers and dancers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions including corrective exercise and manual therapy to improve patients' physical function and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- Proven experience in outpatient, or sports medicine settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and exercise is essential.
- Familiarity with patient care systems and documentation processes is required.
- Experience with athletic training will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are crucial.
