Duties
- Stock shelves accurately and efficiently, ensuring products are organized and appealing to customers
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions quickly and accurately
- Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience
- Maintain clean, organized merchandising displays that attract customer attention
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly and addressing their needs professionally
- Support inventory management through stocking, product rotation, and inventory checks
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team members or overseeing stockroom activities
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math enhances performance in this role
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
- Experience in merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and stock management will contribute to success in this position
