We are seeking Associate Therapists (AMFT, APCC, ASW) to join our expanding team serving clients within San Diego and virtually across California.
At Transcend Behavioral Health, we are a dedicated team of therapists, educators, and medical professionals passionate about delivering high-quality mental health care. Our behavioral health collective offers a wide range of services, including trauma-informed therapy for adults, children, couples, and families, child and adolescent medication management, and expert diagnoses for autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and developmental delays. We also offer parent and executive functioning coaching support.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide individual, conjoint, and family psychotherapy, with opportunities to facilitate group counseling or workshops
- Build and maintain caseload to full time status, completing at least 20 client sessions per week
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and trainings as required
- Provide services both in-office and through telehealth platforms
- Adhere to company policies, applicable laws, regulations, and professional codes of ethics
- Collaborate with administrative staff regarding scheduling, insurance authorizations, and client care coordination
- Learn and effectively navigate commercial insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits to support client access to care
Compensation & Benefits
- Tiered pay structure ranging from $38-$40 per hour for individual therapy services based upon caseload
- $45 per hour for couples and family therapy services
- Paid clinical supervision and administrative hours at $20-26/hour

Minimum Qualifications
- Current and valid California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration as an AMFT, APCC, or ASW in good standing
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or related field
- Minimum of 1,000 hours completed toward licensure
- Able to provide in-person services at office location in San Carlos/College Area - 7183 Navajo Rd., San Diego, CA 92119
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ethical decision-making and sound clinical judgment
- Experience and interest in working with children, teens, families or couples/partnered relationships
- Training or certification in CPT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, TF-CBT, or other evidence-based treatment modalities
- Availability to provide services during some evening and/or weekend hours
- Advanced proficiency with electronic health record systems, telehealth platforms, and productivity software
- Experience using TheraNest or similar Electronic Health Record systems
