LOCATION: Adrienne’s House
SUPERVISOR: Shelter Manager
HOURS: Full-Time 40-hour work week Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with the exception of one day of the week being 10:00 am-7:00 pm. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
SUMMARY: Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered counseling, advocacy, and case management services to adults residing at Adrienne's House. Provide nonresidential counseling services to adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Jackson County. Foster an environment that promotes safety, trust, empowerment, and healing while collaborating with community partners to support client goals, reduce barriers, and enhance long-term stability.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirement of a Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related discipline from an accredited program and possess license to practice in Mississippi. Minimum of two (2) years of related credentialed experience.

- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with agency policies and professional ethics.
- Maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and required automobile insurance. Travel is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
CLINICAL
· Conduct and ensure completion of comprehensive, trauma-informed clinical intake assessments for all shelter admissions within 24 hours of admission.
· Develop individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients that reflect their goals, strengths, needs, and readiness for change.
· Provide trauma-informed individual and group counseling and clinical advocacy to residents of Adrienne's House.
· Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, and stabilization services.
· Coordinate referrals and collaborate with community partners to reduce barriers to safety, healthcare, legal services, housing, and recovery.
· Provide transportation and clinical advocacy as needed.
· Provide outpatient counseling services to non-residential adult survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Jackson County.
· Accompany clients to court and other appointments as needed.
· Serve as a liaison with community agencies and referral partners to enhance client access to services.
· Provide clinical back-up according to the established schedule.
· Attend weekly clinical staffing, supervision, house meetings, and required program meetings.
· Utilize trauma-informed conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques to address client-to-client grievances.
· Collaborate closely with the Case Manager to ensure coordinated, comprehensive, trauma-informed services and maintain ongoing communication regarding client progress, barriers, safety concerns, and emerging needs.
AGENCY COMPLIANCE
- Maintain comprehensive and organized files utilizing the automated case management system
- Adhere to the agency’s confidentiality policies, maintaining a high-level standard of confidentiality
- Compile and accurately report all program statistics and educational activities on time and as directed
- Report any known or suspected child abuse to immediate supervisor
- Report any suspicious activity or persons
- Attend and participate in agency staff meetings and trainings
- Report to work on time as scheduled
- Maintain a valid driver license and proof of required automobile insurance
- Perform all other duties and/or participate in special projects as assigned by direct supervisor or Chief Executive Officer.
OTHER
· Participate in hurricane evacuation and facility preparation.
· In case of emergencies and extreme circumstances, will be required to assist with 24-hour shelter coverage
· Work in conjunction with other program components and staff to ensure effective communication of agency and client concerns, recommendations, and needs.
Pay: From $48,500.00 per year
