Cleaning Technician – Plasma Donor Center
We are currently hiring a Cleaning Technician to provide professional cleaning services at a Grifols plasma donor center. This is a fast-paced environment requiring someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently.
Schedule
- 4 days on / 3 days off
- 7:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Part-time, evening shift
Job Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize the plasma donor center, including designated donor and employee areas.
- Perform routine cleaning, disinfecting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Follow proper procedures when cleaning areas where blood or bodily fluids may be present.
- Properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and PPE.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment throughout the facility.
- Follow all company and facility safety requirements.
- Complete required Bloodborne Pathogens training.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Lift, carry, and move supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Communicate professionally with facility staff when needed.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable working solo and completing assigned duties independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be dependable and able to work the scheduled 4-on/3-off, 7 PM–1 AM shift.
- Bloodborne Pathogens training is required.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and other potentially infectious materials.
- Must follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
- Applicants cannot be previous plasma donors at this facility.
- Previous commercial, healthcare, or medical facility cleaning experience is preferred.
Important
This position is with our cleaning company, which is contracted to provide cleaning services at the Grifols plasma donor center. This is not a position directly employed by Grifols.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial facilities, including offices, restrooms, lobbies, and common areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Conduct floor care
- Execute custodial tasks like trash removal, dusting, window washing, and surface disinfecting to uphold hygiene standards.
- Maintain facilities by reporting maintenance issues.
- Utilize janitorial supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Support industrial cleaning projects that may involve specialized equipment or procedures for large-scale or high-traffic areas.
- Stock toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, ect.
Requirements
- 1 year Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of floor care processes.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and maintenance tools is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, bending, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
