Overview
The Chief Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the engineering operations within our organization. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, and high-voltage equipment. The Chief Engineer will lead a team of engineers and technicians, manage maintenance activities, and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Duties
- Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure optimal performance and development.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and high-voltage equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals and improve processes.
- Provide technical guidance on industrial maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Train staff on the use of tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in English for effective communication within the team and across departments.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, logic controllers, and high-voltage equipment.
- Expertise in industrial maintenance practices with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Experience with maintenance management principles and CMMS software.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to engineering challenges.
