Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Summary: The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations by answering and directing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and providing exceptional customer service. This role supports the daily operations of the DFW Regional Distribution Center by ensuring efficient communication, maintaining electronic document filing through scanning and record management, and performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties
Responsibilities:
- Promptly & courteously answer all DFW RDC calls, transferring each call to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Greet and provide excellent customer service in a friendly and polite manner to everyone entering the building.
- Record ship tickets (see training doc)
- Enter tracking numbers for freight shipments.
- Scan Receiving Exception Reports for Receiving Department and cycle count reports.
- Process Customer Payments.
- Track and order office and warehouse supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply room.
- Ensure Will Call Express and large conference room have refreshments.
- Coordinate lunches and various facility functions (employee appreciation), including use of both.
- Assist Inventory Admin when needed.
- Ensure all e-trainings are current, working with each department’s Supervisor to do so.
- Manage cleaning company to ensure proper cleaning is being completed.
- Update stat reports- attendance, recruiting, performance stats, cycle counting, etc.
- Other administrative duties, as requested.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must have a professional and courteous attitude and excellent customer service skills, including proper phone etiquette.
- Basic familiarity with the use of a personal computer and how to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Perform duties with minimal or no supervision. Must be an energetic team player and able to work with diverse personalities.
- Bilingual preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone.
- Must be able to bend, climb, push, and pull, including the ability to maneuver at heights and in tight or small places. May be required to walk out to the warehouse or warehouse office.
- Ability to routinely lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 40 lbs. and that may occasionally weigh in excess of 40 lbs.
