American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at a critical access hospital in Vermont, with required ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.

Critical access hospital setting

Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including adult med/surg, ortho, pediatrics, observation, step-down, and special care (SCU) patients

Night shift with varied scheduling

13-week contract

Active Vermont or Compact RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) certifications required; if not active at time of consideration, a booked course must be in place by the start of clinical orientation

Current de-escalation training required or must be booked prior to contract start

Experience across med/surg, telemetry, or related acute care settings preferred given the unit's broad patient population

Responsible for delivering age-specific, direct patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with Department of Nursing Standards

Assumes leadership responsibilities including delegation of tasks to other levels of staff

Must maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare laws, regulations, and policies
