Fagioli is seeking an experienced Heavy Lift / Transport Supervisor to lead SPMT (Self-Propelled Modular Transporter) operations on large-scale industrial projects across the U.S.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for executing complex heavy transport operations while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality on site.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise SPMT transport operations from setup to execution
- Direct transport crews on SPMT configuration, rigging setup, and load positioning
- Execute and oversee critical heavy haul moves in industrial environments
- Conduct toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with documented records
- Perform and supervise daily and weekly inspections/maintenance of SPMTs
- Troubleshoot and coordinate equipment repairs or failures
- Support project teams in technical planning and customer meetings
- Manage crew timesheets, attendance, and on-site coordination
Required Experience (Be Specific – Must Have)
We are targeting candidates with hands-on, field leadership experience in heavy transport operations:
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or Lead Operator on SPMT projects
- Minimum 400+ hours operating SPMT trailers in a supervised environment
- Strong background in heavy haul, module transport, or large-scale industrial moves
- Experience leading crews during:
- SPMT trailer setup and configuration
- Heavy equipment transport and positioning
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Transport drawings and engineering plans
- Site layouts and technical schematics
Required Certifications & Training
- SPMT Operator – Level IV (Fagioli internal certification)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree (engineering, mechanical, or related field preferred)
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems related to SPMT equipment
- Experience supporting multi-project or travel-based operations

- Strong leadership and ability to work independently as a team lead
- Solid understanding of transport equipment functionality and maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hydraulic/electrical issues onsite
- Strong communication skills (crew coordination + client interaction)
- Ability to execute work in high-risk, high-precision environments

- Validate all lifting/transport equipment certifications and inspections
- Lead safety compliance on site and coach crew on safe practices
