Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Barista who takes pride in making high-quality coffee using a manual espresso machine. This role is ideal for someone who understands espresso fundamentals, can consistently prepare drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, and espresso, and is committed to delivering excellent service.
The Barista plays an important role in maintaining coffee quality, supporting front-of-house operations, and contributing to the warm hospitality we are known for.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso-based drinks including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and espresso with consistency and attention to detail
- Properly dial in espresso, grind coffee, steam milk, and maintain drink quality standards
- Ensure drinks are presented beautifully and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and equipment
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures
- Assist with restocking, opening, and closing tasks
- Uphold the welcoming and respectful environment A Thousand Tales is known for
Qualifications
- Experience as a barista or strong coffee knowledge preferred (manual espresso machine experience is a plus)
- Ability to prepare high-quality espresso drinks consistently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craft
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Friendly attitude and strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team
