Job Summary

Duties
- Provide attentive care for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, outings, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure children's safety and well-being.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or welfare.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities and understanding of inclusive caregiving practices.
- Strong background in toddler care, preschooler care, and elementary school-age children’s needs.
- Demonstrated teaching experience with young children and knowledge of childhood development principles.
- Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to various age groups and developmental stages.
- Excellent child supervision skills combined with behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior.
- Knowledge of early childhood education standards and best practices in childcare settings such as daycare or nannying.
- Certification in first aid and CPR from recognized organizations; familiarity with mandated reporting laws.
- Effective communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
