Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner — General Job Description
The Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing safe, effective, and personalized aesthetic treatments with a primary focus on cosmetic injectables. This position combines clinical expertise, aesthetic judgment, patient education, and exceptional customer service to help patients achieve their desired results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive consultations and assess patients' aesthetic concerns and treatment goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on facial anatomy, patient preferences, and clinical appropriateness.
- Perform injectable treatments including neuromodulators and dermal fillers.
- Evaluate patients for appropriate treatment and recognize when a treatment or procedure is not indicated.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, expected results, potential risks, contraindications, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records, treatment notes, consent forms, and photographs as required.
- Monitor patients during and after treatments and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Recognize and appropriately manage potential complications and adverse reactions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional treatment environment.
- Follow applicable state regulations, medical protocols, infection-control procedures, and practice policies.
- Stay current with aesthetic techniques, products, safety standards, and industry developments.
- Work collaboratively with other medical and aesthetic team members.
- Provide a professional and welcoming patient experience consistent with the standards of a luxury medical spa.
Social Media & Brand Participation
- Be comfortable participating in social media content for OneCareSpa, including occasional photos, videos, educational content, treatment demonstrations, and/or before-and-after content with appropriate patient consent.
- Help showcase treatments, products, and the patient experience at OneCareSpa in an authentic and professional way.
- Collaborate with the spa's team on social media content and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and authorization to practice in South Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience performing aesthetic injectables.
- Demonstrated experience with dermal fillers and neuromodulators.
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy and injection safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the medical spa team.
- CPR/BLS certification and any other credentials required by applicable regulations.
Preferred: Experience with Cutera laser technology and other aesthetic medical devices.
