Job Summary
Gallagher-Elden Law is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our growing Annapolis office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience and be comfortable managing cases from inception through trial. Transactional experience is a plus.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial and post-judgment matters
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records in the firm's case management system
- Coordinate and monitor litigation deadlines, court dates, hearings, and trial schedules
- Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, and trial materials
- Review and summarize medical records, business records, and other case-related documents
- Conduct factual investigations and assist with legal research
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and third-party vendors
- Assist with document production, discovery management, and e-filing in state and federal courts
- Support attorneys with transactional matters as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
- Experience with e-filing in Maryland state and federal courts preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
- Transactional law experience is a plus

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
